Kitagawa’s Quick Jaw Replacement (QJR) Chuck series offers quick jaw change functionality for your CNC lathe. Suitable for small and large batch production, the QJR series offers a quick and smooth jaw replacement system.
The jaws on a QJR chuck can be changed in literally seconds. Simply insert the jaw release key into the chuck, give it a turn, and the jaws will easily slide out. To insert the new jaws, reverse the process. Slide the new jaws into position, turn the jaw release key and the jaws will be locked in place and ready to grip. The whole process takes no more than a few seconds.
Compared to changing the jaws on a standard chuck, with a QJR chuck you save minutes on every jaw change. That might not sound like much, but if you have to change jaws a couple of times per day, those few lost minutes could quickly add up to hours of machine downtime, allowing for an impressive return on investment.
Available in sizes from 6″ to 12″, QJR chucks are directly interchangeable with the world standard Kitagawa B-200 series, with no back plate or draw tube replacement required, so upgrading your chucking system to take adavantage of quick change’s benefits couldn’t be easier.
