What should be done when the extended travel coverplate allows coolant to enter the System 5 Qwik-Lok Base and the coolant can’t escape?
The Extended Coverplate can sometimes be penetrated by coolant. With the System 5’s sealed design, the coolant will often remain trapped inside the base. Chick recommends drilling a small 3mm (1/8”) hole near the bottom of the rear seal plate to allow the coolant to drain.
